When someone blames us, it's important not to retaliate but to examine our dynamic. We must ask ourselves what each of us may be contributing to the issue instead of making excuses.
Appreciation can be a powerful motivator and can help foster a positive relationship. Coaching can also be valuable in assisting others to build their skills and knowledge. It's often said that all advice is rooted in personal experience. As the receiver, engaging with the feedback and understanding where it's coming from is essential. While data is crucial, understanding its context and interpretation is necessary. If you want to show appreciation for the feedback you receive, consider having a conversation with the person who provided it. Discuss their data and interpretations and consider the advice and expectations that come with it.
