Unrelated: Focus on Making Your Art
Do you want to earn an income off your creative hobby or skillset? Do you dream about doing the work you love all the time? Once you’re ready for people to see your work, the internet is the best tool because people worldwide can find your work. Create a website and a social media presence. Share your completed work and some glimpses of your creative process so that others can learn from you (and you can learn from them).
As you interact with people online, remember that you can’t please everyone. If someone doesn’t like your work, ignore them and refocus on the process of making your art. If their words make you angry, all the better: anger is an excellent motivator for creative work. These tributes take different forms—for example, posts lists of the best books you’ve read lately with a review of what made each book memorable.
Writing about your beliefs is crucial, even if it is a niche topic. I support Substack and believe it to be the future of online writing. One of the best things about Substack is the absence of rigid editorial or advertising guidelines. This allows writers to connect with their readers more. It is outstanding to have a small audience as long as they are dedicated. Even if only ten people enjoy your content, they will appreciate it like no editor could. Remain true to your beliefs while writing, and do not dilute them. Avoid writing like you are aiming for a massive media organization. Instead, write from your heart and find a small audience that values your content. These readers will be the first to sign up as free subscribers and later as paying ones if they monetize. Having a small group of loyal supporters is invaluable; with Substack, you can continue growing your readership.

You had to create personas for the different types of users. This project started about two thousand seven or eight or so, so that's one of the big things you heard back then.
